A Portfolio of Habitat Restoration & Environmental Communication
Rooted in Design

My name is Deanna Jacobs
Growing up with the Chesapeake Bay in my backyard, I turned a lifelong connection to the water into a career dedicated to protecting our most vulnerable ecosystems. I'm an environmental professional combining hands-on restoration work, from diving to monitor coral health to designing bioswales that improve local water quality, with a background in science communication that transforms complex field data into stories people can act on.
My work sits at the intersection of research and community, where I believe conservation has its greatest impact. Through inclusive outreach and collaborative problem-solving, I help ensure that vital findings don't stay in the lab, they become the foundation for lasting environmental stewardship and the next generation of people who care deeply about our natural world.
